SHORT-TERM RESEARCH EXCHANGE STRENGTHENS OPEN SCIENCE PRACTICES
From January 13 to 15, 2025, early career researchers Jovana Kisin and Jovanka Tošić from Educons University in Sremska Kamenica, Serbia, participated in a short-term research visit at the Faculty of Food Technology Osijek, part of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, Croatia. This visit was conducted within the framework of the BEAMING project, under the Boosting Open Science Practice work package.

During their stay, the researchers received training on Open Science principles, including free access to scientific publications, peer review processes, data management strategies, and research tool sharing. Insights into how Open Science is implemented in Croatia were provided by Sanda Hasenay, head of the faculty library, and Prof. Dr. Marina Tišma, who showcased the integration of open scientific data within BEAMING research initiatives. The visit also included an overview of Open Science applications at the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technologies Osijek.

This exchange not only enriched the knowledge of the visiting researchers but also reinforced international collaboration in Open Science. By fostering knowledge-sharing and transparency, BEAMING continues to strengthen cross-border cooperation and advance Open Science adoption across European research institutions.
