BEAMING STRENGTHENS BIOECONOMY COLLABORATION AND KNOWLEDGE VALORISATION AT EDUCONS UNIVERSITY

On June 10 and 11, the BEAMING project took part in a series of activities hosted by Educons University, bringing together researchers, institutional representatives, experts and stakeholders to advance bioeconomy innovation, knowledge valorisation and cross-country collaboration.

The programme began on 10 June with the BEAMING Community of Practice visit to Sferikon, which provided an opportunity to connect research, innovation and practical applications in the field of bio-based materials. The visit supported the exchange of experiences and highlighted the role of collaboration in bringing bioeconomy solutions closer to real-world implementation.

On 11 June, Educons University hosted the BIOECO-INNO Stakeholders’ Day, a dynamic event focused on bioeconomy development, innovation support and stakeholder engagement. The programme included the validation workshop of the Educons Bioeconomy Action Plan, the presentation of the upcoming BEAMING Community of Practice internal two-stage competition, and discussions around a potential joint project idea.

The event also featured an expert workshop dedicated to the knowledge valorisation action plan, as well as presentations on Educons University’s innovation activities, including the Tech Transfer Hub and the Centre for Circular Economy. A networking session further enabled participants to exchange ideas, strengthen cooperation and explore future opportunities.

The week continued with the BEAMING Community of Practice Knowledge Exchange on Open Science, creating a space for dialogue, mutual learning and the further development of cooperation within the BEAMING network.

These activities reflect BEAMING’s commitment to connecting people, knowledge, research, innovation and impact, while supporting stronger collaboration across countries and institutions in the field of bioeconomy.

The session also addressed the importance of the Erasmus+ programme as one of the main EU frameworks supporting academic mobility, international exchange and youth engagement in higher education.

BEAMING thanks Educons University for showcasing the project during the Youth Science Forum 2026 and contributing to the visibility of Horizon Europe opportunities among young researchers and academic communities in Ukraine and beyond.
