THE SECOND ROUND OF SHORT TERM MOBILITIES

THE SECOND ROUND OF SHORT TERM MOBILITIES

From 18 to 20 November 2025, Educons University had the pleasure of hosting two early-career researchers from the Agricultural University of Plovdiv (AUP), Bulgaria — Dr Haik Garabedian and Atanas Kalajdziev, PhD candidate — as part of the Horizon Europe BEAMING project. The visit was organised within the second round of short-term mobilities aimed at strengthening knowledge valorisation capacities and fostering cooperation between partner institutions.

During the three-day programme, the visiting researchers were introduced to Educons University’s research and innovation infrastructure. The agenda included an overview of the institutional research ecosystem, a guided tour of the Technology Transfer Hub, the Centre for Circular Economy, the BioTech Laboratory and the University Library, as well as meetings with academic staff from the Faculty of Ecological Agriculture. These sessions enabled the guests to gain insight into Educons’ approach to innovation management, industry collaboration and the integration of research into regional development.

A central part of the visit consisted of knowledge-exchange activities, including presentations by both institutions on research priorities, technology-transfer practices and models for embedding knowledge valorisation principles into academic work. The Early-Career Researchers’ Roundtable provided space for open discussion on shared challenges, opportunities for collaboration and the design of research with social and economic impact.

The final day was dedicated to planning future activities and networking. During the meeting with the Project Incubator Hub team, the partners discussed ideas for joint project proposals, as well as possibilities for student and staff mobility exchanges. The visit concluded with an evaluation session at the University Library.
The mobility resulted in a significant strengthening of collaboration between Educons University and AUP, with clearly identified potential for joint project applications, co-authored scientific publications, and future exchange programmes. This successful visit reaffirms Educons University’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and advancing research with strong societal impact through the BEAMING project.
