BEAMING AT THE PARTNERSHIPS FOR LEADING POLICIES TO GREEN ACTIONS CONFERENCE IN LJUBLJANA
On September 2025, Siniša Borota Green and Digital Transformation Programme Manager at IRI Institute, took part in a panel discussion at the international conference “Partnerships for Leading Policies to Green Actions” in Ljubljana, organised by the Centre of Excellence in Finance (CEF). The event gathered high-level representatives from international organisations and state institutions across the Western Balkans, Europe, and North America.
In his intervention, Borota highlighted the importance of systemic change in addressing environmental challenges, stating: “There are no sustainable cars or buildings — there can only be sustainable or unsustainable social systems as such. Our mutual relations are reflected in our attitude towards the environment.” His words resonated strongly with the conference’s theme of linking policy leadership to tangible green actions.
The conference also served as a platform to present the BEAMING project, focusing on best practices in the bioeconomy sector. Borota showcased BEAMING’s efforts to bridge research, innovation, and societal transformation, reinforcing its mission to drive a sustainable and inclusive green transition across Europe.
