CLUBE SHINES SPOTLIGHT ON THE BEAMING PROJECT: DRIVING INNOVATION IN GREECE’S BIOECONOMY SECTOR

At the recent event, “CBE-JU, BIC, CEE2ACT: Promoting Bioeconomy in Greece,” held on April 15th at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Cluster of Bioeconomy and Environment of Western Macedonia (CluBE) proudly showcased its impactful projects. Among these initiatives, BEAMING stood out as a flagship endeavor aimed at fostering innovation and inclusivity in the green transition. Through dynamic presentations and interactive sessions, CluBE effectively conveyed the essence of BEAMING and its pivotal role in advancing the bioeconomy agenda.

Attendees were immersed in the world of BEAMING, gaining insights into its mission to establish a “BIOECONOMY EXCELLENCE ALLIANCE FOR STIMULATING INNOVATIVE AND INCLUSIVE GREEN TRANSITION.” Through engaging discussions and presentations, CluBE illustrated how BEAMING is empowering early-career researchers, facilitating networking, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration. The emphasis was on cultivating Communities of Practice (CoPs), vibrant networks of bioeconomy stakeholders, working collaboratively towards bioeconomy research advancement.

With 60 registered participants, including 29 women and 31 men, the event unfolded at the Argyriadis Amphitheatre of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, under the auspices of the CEE2ACT HE project. Organized jointly by CluBE, NKUA, Greek Bioeconomy Council, CBE-JU, and BIC, the event exemplified a collective commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in the bioeconomy sector.
